Frugal Friday: Headbands

I decided to make a point of getting more of Gen’s pictures into a scrapbook during her naptime today.  While browsing some of my favorite “inspiration” websites, I came across something unrelated to scrapbooking, but equally wonderful: sewing!

I have been hoping to find new headbands for Gen, since she is outgrowing the ones she has (actually, I think she’s down to one, now).  I thought they would be good to put in her Easter basket.  She’s really getting into “dress up” lately, and loves pretty things!

However, I haven’t seen any in the stores that I liked enough to buy.  This free sewing pattern by Heather Bailey looks perfect!  I don’t think I found it in time to make them for Easter, but when I do start sewing, I may sew one up for myself as well!  (Besides Heather Bailey, wouldn’t some Amy Butler or Michael Miller fabrics be wonderful?)  This would be a great use for scrap fabrics, though, and I can make sure it’s just the right size!

By the way, I did get some scrapbook pages completed!  Now, all of Gen’s 1st birthday photos are in an album!  For more Frugal Friday tips, go to Biblical Womanhood.
