The Simple Woman’s Daybook

FOR TODAY
June 30, 2008
Outside my window: Diapers are drying in the sun, where I hung them up this morning.
I am thinking: I need to gather up library books to return tomorrow.
I am thankful for: Our tomato plants are blossoming!
From the kitchen: I will be starting a batch of Lacto-fermented Ginger Carrots, and I need to feed my sourdough starter.
I am wearing: A long, burgundy flowered April Cornell dress, bare feet, and hair up in a bun.
I am creating:  Reusable packaging for Calvin’s lunches.
I am reading: The Vegetarian Mother’s Cookbook by Cathe Olson
I am hoping: We will be able to sell our car.
I am hearing: This CD- Whisper to the Wild Water by Màire Brennan
Around the house: Laundry needs to be folded.
One of my favorite things: Feeling rested after a Sunday afternoon nap.  (A special treat yesterday!)
A few plans for the week: A quiet week at home with a couple morning walks at the library, and packing up winter quilts and sweaters for the season.
A picture thought I am sharing: Fresh parsley from the Farmer’s Market
