We’re all feeling a bit “jet lagged” this morning after a rather sleepless night. Gen came down with a cold the other day, and was up for most of last night, just wanting to be snuggled. I cuddled her in our new home, surrounded by boxes, while Calvin made the last clean sweep of our old apartment. By the time he had returned the rental truck, and gathered up everything, he got home at 2 am! Then he woke up at 5:00 to head to work. (We are so thankful that we are living closer to his work now; that allowed for a bit more sleep!)
Thankfully, I was able to find the humidifer, eucalyptus, and saline spray amid the clutter.
Our landlords are still completing projects, so there have been long hours of hammering and sawdust (and keeping a toddler from climbing up the ladders!). They are also still in the process of establishing our internet connection, so I am posting from our nearby library. Our refrigerator was turned on this morning, so I will be able to move our food from the coolers it is currently stored in.
We are so glad to finally be here, though! Thank you, to those of you who have been praying for us, and for those that helped us with the move. We have been so blessed by you.
Needless to say, my blog posting will likely be rather sparse in the near future. I will be settling in, unpacking, and creating our home. I have many ideas stored up in my head for future blog posts, and am excited to reconnect with you again soon!
