The Simple Woman’s Daybook

FOR TODAY
October 6th, 2008
Outside my window: The sun is peeking through the clouds after a morning rain.  
I am thinking: I should copy down some recipes today.  
From the learning rooms: Nursery rhyme songs.  
I am thankful for: Fresh veggies off of our plants.  
From the kitchen: Two loaves of sourdough wheat/spelt bread just came out of the oven.  
I am wearing: A thick, warm burgundy skirt, and a light blue sweater top.  
I am creating: I just finished sewing a purse this morning.  I plan on making more lavender sachets, too.  
I am reading: Sacred Marriage, with Calvin.  
I am hoping: God will bless Calvin at work today.  
I am hearing: Gen “reading” a book aloud while sitting on the potty. 
Around the house: Forks are scattered everywhere, from Gen’s playtime this morning.  
One of my favorite things: A walk outside in the beautiful fall weather!  
A few plans for the week: Going to the library, and a visit to a chocolate cafè with friends.
