The Simple Woman’s Daybook

It has been a couple months (wow!) since I joined in with my own Daybook.  I’ve missed it, so here is one for today!

FOR TODAY
December 1st, 2008
Outside my window: There aren’t any windows in my room!  (I was just outside though, and the air is wonderfully crisp and cool.)
I am thinking: I am reminding myself to put on a pot of tea, since Calvin will be home from work soon.  I also want to do some photo-editing of new items for my Etsy shop.
From the learning rooms: “Keep your hands to yourself!” (Hmm… we are going through a toddler exploratory/pinching phase.  I hope that ends soon!)
I am thankful for: A wonderful Thanksgiving trip with family this past week.
From the kitchen: This summer’s homemade Raspberry Rhubarb Jam on leftover gluten-free sweet potato biscuits.
I am wearing: A blue & white-flowered peasant skirt, a navy blue top, and a white shrug-style cardigan
I am creating: Felt food toys for Gen’s birthday gift.
I am reading: Cast of Characters by Max Lucado
I am hoping: God will bless Calvin at work today.
I am hearing: Diapers tossing in the dryer.  (It’s too damp today to hang them outside!)
Around the house: Laundry is waiting to be folded.
One of my favorite things: A cup of lemon tea on a cool day.
A few plans for the week: Taking Gen to the snow as a birthday surprise, and returning some library books.
A picture thought I am sharing: Snuggling with my Beloved just before Thanksgiving.
