Welcome to my first “Bargain Meal of the Week”, based on the weekly New Seasons Market advertisement! Through $5 Dinners, you can find a selection of bargain meals based on store sales around the country.
I was initially disappointed to find that New Season’s ad this week was actually fairly limited (only a 2-page spread, instead of containing the additional insert). But in browsing the store, I found plenty more unadvertised specials; especially through the butcher and produce sections.
This meal is almost a “breakfast for dinner” type of meal, but definitely filling! I’ve included the Applegate Farms Sunday Bacon (in this week’s ad for $3.50 per package), green onions (an unadvertised special at .99 a bunch), Tillamook cheese (another unadvertised special), potatoes, carrots, butter, and eggs (at their standard “Everyday Value” prices), and an optional addition of Brown Cow Yogurt (listed in the ad at .59 each).
Go here for the full recipe: Cheesy Fried Potatoes

2 tablespoons Tillamook Butter ($0.19)

Salt and Pepper to taste
