Menu Plan Monday



It’s the first week in our new home! I’ve started unpacking the kitchen first, since that seems to be the hub of our home. So, I’m planning meals based on what I have already have unpacked (certain dishes, pantry staples), and can easily access around the rest of the boxes! 

I found some great sales this past week (probably due to the Lenten season), so I was able to stock our freezer with some meats. Although we do recognize Lent in our family, it doesn’t necessarily mean fasting from meats for us. By the way, I loved Amy’s overview of Lent, if you’re looking for ways to incorporate this season into your family’s life. 

Monday

To Do: Make Coconut Bread, Thaw Hot Dogs (using uncured, nitrite-free hot dogs), Thaw Chicken
Tuesday
To Do: Soak Chickpeas, Soak Pancake Batter
Wednesday
To Do: Make Sourdough Bread, Pick Up Milk
Thursday
To Do: Bake Sourdough Bread, Make Yogurt
Friday
To Do: Make Chicken Stock
Saturday
  • Breakfast: Eggs, Toast
  • Lunch: Cheese Sandwiches, Apple Slices
  • Dinner: Easy Thai Chicken Wraps, Brown Rice (use leftover chicken and rice), Pear Slices
To Do: Soak Porridge
Sunday
  • Breakfast: Oat or Buckwheat Porridge, Eggs
  • Lunch: Cheese, Bread & Butter, Apple Slices, Carrot Sticks
  • Dinner: Coconut Pancakes, Berries (from freezer), Yogurt
