The Simple Woman’s Daybook

FOR TODAY
May 11th, 2009
Outside my window: A very windy, sunny warm day!
I am thinking: I’m looking forward to spending the afternoon/evening with my husband, who is off of work today.
From the learning rooms: A new stack of books from the library today.
I am thankful for: Getting established with a new doctor this week. He seems like a good fit for our family, and our visits went well.
From the kitchen: Peanut butter & raw honey sandwiches on homemade bread, and a few spoonfuls of Legos.
I am wearing: A long denim skirt, with a sleeveless blue shirt, topped with a light vintagey blouse.
I am creating: Chia sprouts in the kitchen, and I recently got supplies together for a few baby sewing projects.
I am reading: The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding and The Family at Home: Love. Life. Style. (getting lots of inspiration for the kids’ room with that one!)

I am hoping: These antibiotics do their job, and my lung/sinus infections clear up soon!
I am hearing: Calvin’s drill running, as he installs the last of our wall shelves, and Gen playing with her toy dishes.
Around the house: Half of the laundry is folded, and ready to be put away. More still needs to be folded.
One of my favorite things: Waking up to busy baby kicks in my belly, and spending a day with family.
A few plans for the week: We just returned from errands (doctor’s office, library, and produce market.)  Planning on a “date night” at home with my Beloved, making a list of herbal/homeopathic remedies to order for restocking our medicine box, and working on my co-op order for next week. Then we will be camping for the weekend
A picture thought I am sharing: A photo from today, in our backyard. (Yes, it’s windy today!)
