June is here, and it’s strawberry season! Calvin stopped by the Farmer’s Market this weekend while he was driving around for work. He packed a flat of strawberries into the ambulance, and continued with his work day! It was a fun treat when he brought them home. I quickly mixed up gluten-free strawberry shortcake for dessert, topped with freshly whipped cream (from our raw milk, before finishing the rest into butter).
This morning, we enjoyed some sliced berries stirred into our porridge for breakfast. I just completed a couple batches of freezer jam, and froze several pints of berries.
Breakfast: French Toast, Eggs
Lunch: Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Apple Slices
Dinner: Roast Chicken, Breakfast Potatoes, Green Salad
To Do: Make Yogurt, Bake GF Bread, Soak Waffle Batter, Soak Pumpkin Seeds, Soak Kidney Beans
To Do: Thaw Tomatoes, Soak Porridge, Roast Pumpkin Seeds, Make Chicken Stock, Soak Lentils
To Do: Soak Brown Rice, Pick Up Milk, Make Trail Mix
Breakfast: Pumpkin Bread (use this recipe; substitute pumpkin butter for applesauce), Eggs
Lunch: Smoked Salmon Salad Sandwiches, Watermelon
Dinner: Black Bean Nachos, Spanish Rice, Carrot Sticks
To Do: Thaw Meat
Breakfast: Calvin’s Treat (he’s planning a surprise), Yogurt
Lunch: Egg Salad Sandwiches, Carrot Sticks
Dinner: Cheesy Baked Potatoes, Green Salad
To Do: Soak Porridge, Soak Quinoa
Breakfast: Oat or Buckwheat Porridge, Eggs
