Joyfully Announcing the Arrival…

Enoch Isaiah is here!
He was born August 17th at 2:46 pm.
7 lbs, 13 oz, 19 1/2 in.
He entered the waiting arms of his family in a home waterbirth.

As I mentioned before, I had automatic posts scheduled for this blog for the month of August, while I focused on spending time with visitors and birth preparations. (So all those “nesting” posts you’ve been reading were completed well before the birth!) Automatic posts will continue for the rest of the month, but I look forward to adding one in with Enoch’s birth story and more photos soon! (Sorry for the dim photo at this point, there will be more later.)

I’m typing this one-handed right now, since all we’ve been doing is nursing! Several of you have recently e-mailed me with questions regarding cloth diapers, etc; I encourage you to check out the FAQ’s, where you might find the answers you’re looking for. Also, we do have baby registries (Babyworks and Babies R Us), for those of you who have requested gift ideas.

We’ve been so blessed by friends and family during these early days as a family of four, as we learn to juggle a newborn, a toddler, and a healing mama! Thank you, dear ones. God is good.

Nice work co-creating with God! :) You might be able to balance baby on a Boppy/My Breast Friend pillow and type TWO-handed while nursing, especially if you can sit "pretzel style" to prop baby up far enough.

I was actually just thinking today that if you hadn't already had your baby, it must be any time now. I was so thrilled to see your comment and to know that your sweet little one had arrived!

He's just beautiful, and I'm glad that you're taking some time off to focus on recovering and just enjoying the newest addition to your family. I have a bad habit of trying to be too active, too fast after my births, so I pray that you are doing better at just resting and healing than I am! :) (One of these babies, I'm going to finally learn my lesson and just completely rest right from the start!)

Congratulations, and can't wait to read Enoch's birth story!

Yay!!!! I read about this the day you posted it, but alas, I was nursing as well and just couldn't get out a comment. :-)

I'm so excited for you and glad everything went well!!! He's absolutely perfect. Seeing new babies constantly makes me think we serve such a wonderful God!!

I pray you are all doing well and that you heal quickly. May God continue to bless your family!
