This past week, Nana (my mom) was visiting us. We all loved sharing our days with her. Since she lives 3000 miles away, any time with her is a special blessing.
Watching her cuddle our little ones was a sweet illustration of how our Heavenly Father loves us. As I parent my children, I want to show them His love. I choose to simply walk with Him day by day, knowing that His hand will guide me.
My children trust that Nana loves them and will keep them safe, and aren’t afraid to ask her for what is on their hearts; just as I want them to feel about Jesus.
(“Nana read to you?” “Have a snack, Nana?” “Play outside with bugs, Nana?”)
Enoch even snuggled close into her, letting her rock him to sleep for naptime. (He usually insists it must be Mama.)
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:6-7)
I pray you will rest securely in our Father’s arms today; giving him your cares and dreams. Have you done that this week? I’d love to hear!
