Simple Perseverance

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” -Hebrews 12:1

Our family is in a busy season right now, with the exciting adventure of running daily with Christ, simply trusting Him with the future.

As we look to our Father for wisdom and direction as we face important decisions and take steps of faith, He is faithful.

It was motivating to read what Frances J. Roberts wrote in one of my favorite devotional books, Come Away My Beloved,

“O My child, there is nothing that I would hold back from you.  If you will heed My Word, if you will listen to My voice, I will surely lead you in a plain path.

Set your affections upon Me and keep them there.  Center your attention upon Me. Yes, set your heart to follow after Me with singleness of mind.  This will remove all doubt at every crossroad.”
