Grain-Free Meal Plan Membership Giveaway! {3 Winners}

Sign Up for Grain Free Meal PlansWith our “Naturally Managing ADD” series last month (here is Part 1 and Part 2), we mentioned the GAPS diet. This diet can also be incredibly helpful in addressing myriad health concerns, such as eczema, autism, auto-immune disorders, allergies, digestive issues, and more.

However, this diet can be rather intimidating at first, as you try to prepare a new way of meals. Thankfully, Cara of Health, Home, & Happiness has created months of meal plans, 3 meals a day, 7 days a week (plus snacks & sweets!), to answer the need of moms standing in the kitchen, saying, “I just wish someone would tell me what to cook!”

Our family is considering going back on GAPS more seriously at some point, and I’ve been gradually reintroducing more grain-free meals to our weekly menus. At first, it may seem like “there’s nothing to eat,” and your kitchen is full of only soup broth. (But it gets better.)

You can read a bit of Cara’s family’s story here, as they’ve seen amazing benefits for autism and eczema, along with her quick outline of the GAPS diet. (She’s planning to release a plan specifically for the “intro stage” next month, too!)

We’ve done the “Full GAPS” before, and saw good results. However, I have never been brave enough to do much of the “intro;” but I feel so much more equipped now, after using her delicious menu plans! (I’m thrilled that my daughter, who suddenly insists she doesn’t like squash, has enjoyed all the grain-free muffins I’ve snuck it into!) :)

Whether you’re new to the GAPS diet, and don’t know where to start, or are struggling in the midst of it and looking for some inspiration, I really recommend Cara’s Grain-Free Meal Plan membership.

Right now, she is offering a 50% off discount, so the monthly membership is only $16. To preview the membership, you can sign up for her newsletter, to get a free Sample Menu with 20 favorite recipes!

This week, Cara is offering to giveaway one-month meal plan subscriptions to three Frugal Granola readers!

To enter the Giveaway:

(Mandatory Entry): Leave a comment on this blog post, letting us know why you want to try the GAPS diet/menu plans.

Optional Additional Entries (leave a comment for each one you do):

This giveaway will end Monday, March 28th, and the winner randomly selected by random.org. No purchase necessary. I am an affiliate of the Grain-Free Meal Plans, because I love them! My 2 year old daughter has digestive issues and we are constantly tweaking her diet in hopes to help. I would love to try a grain free diet but have no idea where to start. I want to do a diet our whole family can participate in so that I am not making her seperate meals all the time. I think it would be great for our whole family. I would love to ry the GAPS meal/diet plan. It would be SO helpful!

  • I just signed up for the Grain-free meal plan yesterday – but I would love more months if possible! I have a family of 6 (kids ages 11, 14, 15, & 17) and own a farm in Virginia. I would like to see if going Grain-free will change outlooks, attitudes etc in our family and even help with the kids paying attention more in school :) I plan on packing them lunch after I heard of some of their ONLY meal options for the day as the year comes to an end – it is awful – hardly any fresh fruit any more or even salads as an option. I already belong to Frugal Granola and the HHH newsletters!

  • I would like to try the GAPS menu plan because I need help with the creativity aspect of feeding the plan to my family. We’ve tried a month or so of GAPS style eating in the past, but my husband felt so deprived- we’re a bit strained for time on food preparation, so I fell back on what I could make in large batches, and he got bored. I think that having a meal plan will help to mix it up a bit, and help us be more successful!

I subscribe to both blogsites! We have had to go low carb for my husband’s digestive pain (which means no sugar, no flour, little to no carbs) His doctors misdiagnosed his pain as infection, and prescribed several rounds of antibiotics because the pain kept coming back. What his pain was caused by was the “bad” bacteria taking over his digestive tract because the antibiotics killed off all the good. The naturopath told him that she would have diagnosed him with candida (yeast) if his reading had been 100 units/HPF on his blood test. It was 4000 units/HPF! That and my son has some behavioral struggles (school wants to diagnose him with aspergers) so any help thru diet would be soooooooo welcome!

I would love a chance to win. I always love to see what other people can create for dinner! We are doing the GAPS diet as well.

  • My 5-yr-old son has been diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Delays (PDD-NOS), an Autism Spectrum disorder, and my husband has allergies, including food allergies. I want to try the GAPS diet starting this summer, including the intro part. I believe that GAPS could have a great impact in improving the health of my family.

    Stephanie Reply:

@Stephanie, Oh, and I think I would miserably fail GAPS without a plan to follow. And, I’ve learned from past experience that I don’t do very well making my own plans, so pre-made menu plans would be a God-send!

  • Marla Y

My hubby suffers from bad digestive symptoms plus heart palpitations and has had several vasovagal episodes. He has tried to stop eating certain foods (especially gluten and dairy) and he has improved so much. But he does tend to cheat now and then because he misses having more to choose from. His body is punished every time he does this. I’m hoping your meal plans will give us the meal ideas we need to keep him from being tempted to cheat, to get him on a better path to healing his intestines!

  • We are missionaries in Honduras and have been struggling with mild cases of loose stools and skin issues with my oldest daughter, Naomi. We would love to step out and do GAPS with the whole family for Naomi. I know we all would benefit from it greatly. Because of our situation of living as missionaries… doing research and preparing everything without a clear guide and food menu is a bit overwhelming. I can see all of us go through this to strength our immune system and be able to tackle the daily toll of living in a very dirty country.
