With the daily housekeeping, diaper changing, meal preparing, sewing, exercise, and other tasks, I love having a simple way to keep my hair up. My husband loves the femininity of my long hair. (I cut it for Locks of Love, so I grow it quite long for a few years, in between haircuts.)
For the past dozen years or so, I’ve worn a hair clip almost daily. I can’t tell you the countless cheap plastic “claw” hair clips I’ve gone through over the years! But it was the only solution that seemed to work for my straight hair; all the other barrettes seemed to slip right out.
Discouraged by the waste & expense, I was thrilled to find a simple and beautiful solution with my new Lilla Rose hair clip!
This month’s sponsor, Marci of Lilla Rose offered to send me one for review, and I chose the Mighty Celtic Knot version, which matches my wedding ring.
I ordered the small size flexi clip, and it has stayed in my hair all day long! I’ve tried it in a few styles so far, as a ponytail, and in a French Twist.
My daughter has also borrowed it! After her self-administered haircut last summer, the top layer of her thick curls have been growing back, and we’ve had the challenge of keeping hair out of her eyes. We used this hair clip for a lovely updo, and it sturdily survived the “love” of a 4-year-old (and her curious little brother) just fine!
UPDATE: Marci is offering to giveaway a hair clip to a THREE Frugal Granola readers this week!
