A New Heartbeat

After spending the past few months cherishing the news, our family is thrilled to announce that we are expecting the blessing of Baby #3!

We all rejoiced to hear that precious heartbeat this week, and are hopefully awaiting, with God’s grace, the baby’s arrival in March.

I’ve had some mild pregnancy nausea and tiredness, but with my natural morning sickness remedies, and Simple Mama Snacks, it’s been manageable, thankfully.

We’ve found a sweet naturopathic physician/midwife who has been a good fit for our family, and we are planning on another home waterbirth at this point.

We’ve been amused at my pregnancy food cravings and aversions; my favorites right now are guacamole, creamy soups, berry smoothies, shrimp, and homemade real cheese & pasta (I don’t typically buy pasta otherwise!).

My aversion to peanut butter has been interesting, since it’s our toddler’s favorite food, and my new aversion to cold food has been funny on hot summer days.

Two Lines!

By the way, while we’re on the subject… I like to keep inexpensive pregnancy tests on hand, and prefer the simple, quality ones from Nurtured Family. These small tests don’t have a lot of wasteful packaging, and are available at affordable bulk prices (about $1 per test; and free shipping).

For our little ones, we’ve been answering their questions and gradually introducing them to the idea of a new baby.

A couple of their favorite books right now are:

We appreciate your prayers for our family during this season!

  • CONGRATS!!!! So happy for you & your family. March is a great birth month ~ especially the 4th (our daughter’s b-day) & the 18th (mine!). ‘-) We love the book “A Child is Born”, also. Incredible pics.

How exciting! Congrats to you and your family and many blessings to you for a healthy pregnancy. We are praying the Lord will bless us with children someday soon, after having a miscarriage in May. Can you recommend some good prenatal supplements or a source for learning more about what to look for in high quality prenatals? The ones I previously took caused upper abdominal pain and stomach irritation.

@Valarie, I like Vitanica. It’s a natural blend developed by a local naturopath: http://astore.amazon.com/fruggran-20/detail/B00161EUMQ. Overall, I look for a product that you take in multiple doses throughout the day (not a “one-a-day”), and contains naturally-derived ingredients (not manufactured chemicals). Check with a midwife to get a recommendation tailored to your specific health needs.

I’m so sorry for your loss.
    Blessings to your family,
    Michele

Congrats! I know you have struggled with fertility issues in the past. Did you have a hard time conceiving this time around. I hope that is not a rude question, I am just curious as I recently gave up gluten bc of thyroid/fertility issues and have started to ovulate again! We have been trying for # 2 for about a year now and I hope the Lord will bless us with another soon!
