Place Your Hand in His

Dear friend,
I would be remiss to not tell you about my best friend and Lord of my life, Jesus Christ. In placing my life back into His hands, as my Creator, Savior, Father, and Lord, I can simply trust Him with all the details of life.

There is much I don’t know, many things He is gradually teaching me, and some amazing truths I’ve already discovered in this journey with Christ. But mostly importantly, I know I am His; a sinner saved by grace, not by works.

We were all created to worship, and as individuals, we all serve something: a cause, a dream, a love, a desire. But ultimately, we were created to serve and love our Creator, to walk in fellowship with Him. Without Christ, our pursuits will still leave us feeling empty and unfulfilled.

Who better than our Creator, who knows us intimately, to fill our souls? As Lord of our life, God will guide and direct our pursuits, and shape the desires of our hearts.

  • Our innate rebellion against God separates us from having this intimate relationship with Him. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
  • Though God is a loving Father who longs for a loving relationship with His children, there still needs to be an accounting for our wrong-doing. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
  • In His love, God provided a means for this justice to be satisfied. “God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were still sinners Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
  • “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
  • “All are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.’ (Romans 3:24)

Did you know that God desires us to be glad? Please visit Quest for Joy, which explains these concepts in further detail.

It is my deepest desire that you can know Christ, and experience God’s redeeming love. I encourage you to dig into the Bible, and see what God speaks to you. He daily offers us His salvation.
